It is your birthright to feel well.
I am an embodiment educator, an herbalist, a wellness chef and a postpartum doula with over twenty years of experience in the healing arts. I am dedicated to helping others heal, nurture their bodies and bring life into this world in a way that elevates our collective consciousness.
I work with individuals and families in a collaborative process of care that brings restoration to body and spirit.
I also train and mentor budding postpartum chefs and doulas as they walk the path of nurturing families.
POSTPARTUM CHEF TRAINING 2025
You love food, you love newborns and you believe those that give birth to them deserve a heck of a lot more care than our culture currently provides! You are a postpartum doula looking to expand your offerings or someone who is excited by the idea of starting your own small business but know you need guidance, structure and support to make it happen. I offer you those things and more and promise that we will have fun together along the way.
FROM PRECONCEPTION TO POSTPARTUM
There’s nothing I love more than supporting families as they welcome their babies into this world. I specialize in working with families during the entire perinatal period. From postpartum doula and chef services, nutritional consultations, lactation support, yoga and deep inner work, I am here to support you as you enter into parenthood, nourish you with homemade meals and collaborate with you to create the care your family deserves.
EMBODIMENT, HERBS + YOGA
Your body is wise; it knows, it senses, it guides. Grounding in the body and quieting the mind is the unifying wisdom of every healing art I’ve studied and practiced. Whether through yoga and breathwork, herbalism or meditation, my work with others is rooted in the belief that we need to relearn how to regulate our nervous systems so that we can inhabit our bodies, experience deep rest and start living our lives from the wisdom of our heart.
Making babies is sacred.
Having compassionate support along the way can make all the difference in your experience.
APPRECIATION FROM CLIENTS
“Alicia's warm, supportive and joyful presence in our space during such a sacred and private time for our family was amazing. Her food was truly the most nourishing and delicious that I've ever had! I felt such a deep sense of well-being when eating her food. We loved working with her and highly recommend her!!!”
Julia Fuller-Kling
“The weeks following labour and delivery are a sacred time for a family. Alicia held this space with warmth and tenderness and helped ease my transition into motherhood. She offered comfort and love as well as practical support during the difficult, early postpartum period.”
Danni A.
Alicia’s weekly presence in our household was an absolute blessing, it was about so much more than the food. She was 100% sensitive to our needs and wants and gave me much needed permission to simply rest and enjoy my baby. She was there for company and friendship and humor if needed, helpful advice but also knew when to step back. The scents of her cooking helped our little apartment feel like a home and we wish she was still here with us!!! The healthcare system in the US (no matter how fabulous your insurance) for some reason does not seem to have a focus on the mother’s recovery post-partum. Alicia’s services help immensely in filling that gap and the benefits to us were very clear..”
Isabel S.
Alicia provides much more than home cooked, nutritious, customized and delicious meals that are appropriate for the prenatal and postpartum periods. She brings into the home a warm, quiet and calming energy at a time when families need it most. She is extremely knowledgeable regarding the best foods and herbs for new mothers. Most importantly, she meets you where you are. In other words, if you want advice and guidance, she generously provides it, but if you just want to chat, sleep or play with your baby, then she lets you be in your space. I wish all families with newborns could have someone like Alicia in their lives.”
A.G.
"I wish I could be postpartum again - if only to experience more of Alicia's cooking! In all seriousness, though, hiring her was one of the best decisions I could have made. We all still dream about her chicken soup!"

APPRECIATION FROM NOURISH STUDENTS
“Alicia's training was above and beyond what I was expecting. Every session was loaded with content that helped me feel equipped to start working as a postpartum chef. The care and work that she put into this training came through in every aspect of it!”
Malisa Dekker
“I joined this class hoping to learn more about the postpartum body and how different foods can balance oneself after the transition of birth. Alicia offered this, and so much more. I left the class with a strong foundational knowledge of how to nourish the postpartum body through food, as well as business strategies, marketing techniques, recipes, and a community of other birth workers and chefs. I am so grateful for this class and the way it's impacted how I think about the nourishment I provide for my own body as well as others. I'm so excited to launch my business based on what I learned in this class. Thank you Alicia!”
Abby S
“I would encourage anyone who is interested in postpartum chef work to take this training with Alicia. This was one of the most comprehensive courses I’ve taken and one of the most community-centered spaces I've ever been a part of. I never felt judged. I felt safe and held.“
Kristen Kaessler
“This was such a grounding training and really solidified my love for working with families as a postpartum chef. I feel like my preparedness and skillset sky rocketed thanks to Alicia's expert teaching, and with the support of the NOURISH community.”
SJ McIntyre
“It's more than a postpartum chef course - it's a course that reminds us how to return to ourselves so that we can help others do the same.”
